Registration information from the Central Register of Residents (ZMR) or the Local Register of Residents can be used to check which main residence a person has in Austria. The ZMR is run by the Federal Ministry of the Interior in Vienna. This register has been in existence since 2002.

The secondary residences of debtors, for example, registered with public authorities can also be identified. Even former residences of persons that have already been deregistered can be identified.

An inquiry to the authorities is only possible for you if a justified interest in the disclosure of the address of the moved person can be proven.
